Joe Lee is entering his second season as the Senior Basketball Data Engineer for the Trail Blazers and his seventh season with the organization overall. Lee’s responsibilities include building app-based technology solutions for the Trail Blazer’s coaching and scouting staffs as well as contributing to the integration of technology into all the team’s basketball operations functions. After joining the franchise’s analytics department as the basketball application developer in 2016, Lee was promoted to senior basketball application developer ahead of the 2018-19 season. Prior to joining the Trail Blazers, he worked for a number of software and telecom companies as a full stack web developer and cloud engineer. A native of Tucson, Arizona, Lee holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Portland State.
