D'Angelo Russell (thumb) to miss Warriors' four-game road trip after MRI confirms sprain

Guard's right thumb sprain will be re-evaluated in two weeks

D'Angelo Russell is having the best season of his career, averaging 24.3 and 6.7 assists per game.

Warriors guard D’Angelo Russell, who suffered a sprained right thumb during last night’s 105-100 loss to the Boston Celtics at Chase Center, underwent an MRI last night. The MRI confirmed the sprain.

Russell will be re-evaluated in two weeks and will not travel with the team on its upcoming four-game road trip to New Orleans, Memphis, Dallas and Utah.
