DeAndre Jordan exits Pelicans-Nets game with sprained ankle

DeAndre Jordan wore a brace his left ankle after Monday’s 135-125 win over New Orleans, courtesy of a fourth-quarter sprained ankle. The Brooklyn big man twisted his left foot awkwardly while running the floor and went down in a heap under the basket before ultimately exiting with a grimace and a limp.

There is no word as to how much time Jordan, whom the Nets signed as a free agent during the offseason, will miss with the injury. The veteran center is averaging 6.1 points, 9.3 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 21.1 minutes. Any absence would likely result in more minutes for third-year big man Jarrett Allen, who finished with 18 points and 10 rebounds in 30 minutes of action on Monday.
