LAS VEGAS -- The Milwaukee Bucks defeated the Detroit Pistons 90-63 in the Las Vegas Summer League opener for both teams Friday at Cox Pavilion.
The Bucks led 14-8 after the first quarter, but then poured it on the second quarter to lead by 17 points at halftime. The advantage continued to climb in the second half as Milwaukee led by double-digits throughout the final two quarters, including by as many as 30 in the fourth quarter.
Former UNLV center Christian Wood led the Bucks with 23 points. Guard Zach Lofton scored 10 points for the Pistons.
Milwaukee rookie Donte DiVincenzo, the 17th overall pick in the draft, did not play because of a groin injury.
