Carmelo Leaves Game after Fall

Carmelo Anthony looks to have slipped on the court in Madison Square Garden and had to leave the game.

Carmelo Anthony has left the Knicks' game against Boston early in the third quarter with a sprained right ankle and won't return.

Anthony was hurt late in the first half when he appeared to roll his ankle after running into a referee while heading up the court. He started the second half but lasted just 20 seconds before leaving again.

The Knicks said X-rays were negative.

Anthony scored 17 points, 12 in the first quarter.
