PHOENIX (AP) -- The Phoenix Suns re-signed forward Grant Hill on Sunday and signed guard Sebastian Telfair and first-round pick Markieff Morris.
The 39-year-old Hill averaged 13.2 points and 4.2 rebounds in 80 games last season, his fourth with the Suns and 16th in the NBA. He agreed to a one-year, $6.5 million contract Friday.
"I think ultimately, (it) was just liking it here," Hill said Friday. "From Robert (Sarver) in ownership, to management, to the coaches, the medical staff. I like my teammates, I like the fans. There were some very attractive situations out there, but I liked it here."
Re-signing Hill was Phoenix's top priority in the offseason, in part because he's still productive and one of the NBA's best defensive players at 39, but also for his leadership abilities and close friendship with Steve Nash, the star point guard who is in the last season of his contract.
"Grant Hill represents everything we want the Phoenix Suns to stand for, both on and off the court," Suns President Lon Babby said Sunday. "Grant had other attractive offers, so we are delighted that he has chosen to remain a Sun."
Telfair spent last season with Minnesota, averaging 7.2 points and 3.0 assists in 37 games. He also agreed to a one-year deal Friday.
"I had a couple of situations and this was the best one," Telfair, the cousin of former Suns point guard Stephon Marbury, said Friday. "I had a team that wanted me, which was the situation I wanted to be in, so I'm here. I've got all my focus here and going to make the best of it."
The 6-foot-10 Morris, was drafted 13th overall after three seasons at Kansas. He averaged 13.6 points and 8.3 rebounds in 38 games last season for the Jayhawks. Twin brother Marcus was drafted 14th overall by Houston.
The Suns also added former Seton Hall guard Jeremy Hazell and former Marquette guard Dwight Buycks to their training camp roster.
