The Houston Rockets and Pizza Hut will recognize exemplary teachers who go above and beyond the call of duty, as well as inspire their students to succeed in life and school.
The Rockets and Whataburger are creating a nation of boys and girls who love to read, and we are doing it one book and one child at a time. The program promotes a love of reading by rewarding participants who compete in monthly reading activities.
The Houston Rockets and Children’s Memorial Hermann invite students to participate in the Be Fit Program. The program promotes health and fitness by encouraging participants to compete in monthly physical activities that will reward them for eating nutritiously and being active.
As an extension of the No Place for Hate® program, the Houston Rockets and ADL have teamed-up to develop the “No Place for Hate® – Express Yourself Challenge”, a competition for NPFH participating schools. The Challenge encourages students to either create a 2-3-minute video, poetry, or submit a photo of their still art such as paintings, drawings, collages, or photography depicting the No Place for Hate® message of inclusivity, respect, and equity.
Rockets Math Hoops, leverages the game of basketball to build fundamental math and social-emotional skills through a physical and digital basketball-themed board game, a curriculum, and a community program experience. Designed for students in grades 4-8, this free program develops students’ algebra readiness prior to entering high school, while strengthening important skills including self-regulation and executive function. The NBA Math Hoops program is implemented in in-school, out-of-school, and home learning environments.
The Houston Rockets and Texas Lottery have teamed up to highlight and reward Game Changers who make a positive impact in the community. During the 2023-2024 season, six (6) outstanding individuals will receive the title along with four (4) tickets to a pre-determined Houston Rockets home game where they will be recognized on-court as the Game Changer of the Month!
Best Shot is a 10-week after-school program for members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston.Best Shot provides students with academic tutoring, cultural awareness workshops and drug prevention education. Using basketball as an incentive, participants must take part in weekly educational activities and tutorial sessions before taking part in league games.

Basketball League
The Jr. Rockets program's goal is to increase the Houston Rockets presence with local youth basketball leagues. The program aims to develop a life-long passion for the game of basketball, provide support to the leagues and add programs to make the game fun and rewarding for everyone. Each participating league will include a Houston Rockets game ticket into their league registration. Jr. Rockets/participating league jersey will also be included in the registration process.
adidas Skills Camp
The Houston Rockets, Fertitta family and adidas have partnered to offer a complimentary ticket for an upcoming home game to ALL youth basketball players in the Houston area. Basketball players ages 4-18 years old will be able to experience basketball at the highest level – an NBA game at Toyota Center!
Moody Park - Court
The renovations at the community center consisted of new indoor and outdoor basketball courts, refurbished reading and learning center complete with computers. STEM equipment and gaming systems.
2021 Freeze
Houston Rockets offered help the surrounding Houston community after a historic 2021 winter storm. The Rockets held a drive-thru distribution, at the Toyota Center, of cases of water, masks and hand sanitizers to impacted members of the community.
COVID-19
The Houston Rockets' COVID Relief and Response program is committed to serving the local Houston community and regional communities during times of pandemic and health crisis. Our program offers relief efforts, financial support, and resources to those in need. We stand together with our community and strive to provide support in times of hardship during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Houma
The Houston Rockets delivered relief supplies to Houma, Louisiana, which was one of the areas hit hardest by Hurricane Ida in late August, 2021. The Rockets, along with community volunteers, transported the supplies from Houston to Houma via an 18-wheeler, and the volunteers handed items out at a distribution event in conjunction with the Red Cross.
Patriots Day
The Houston Rockets community appreciates the sacrifice of our local first responders. Every year, we distribute food and Rockets tickets to honor their service and dedication to keeping our communities safe. Join us in showing appreciation for the brave men and women who put their lives on the line for us.
Hoops For Troops
Presented by Navy Federal Credit Union
The Houston Rockets, Navy Federal Credit Union, and members of the United States military participate in a Houston community projects as part of the NBA’s “Hoops for Troops” Commitment to Service campaign. The program, which is in collaboration with the Department of Defense, allows teams to work alongside military members in order to help better communities.
That Deserves A Crown

During the 23-24 Season the Houston Rockets partnered with Crown Royal to honor military service members and veterans. Each honoree was featured on court during a game and was recognized for their community and military service accomplishments.
Fundraising
50/50 Raffle
The 50/50 Raffle is conducted at every Rockets home game. One winner will receive 50% of net proceeds and the other 50% will benefit the Clutch City Foundation.
Before every home game, a special celebrity will shoot the First Shot. A made basket will benefit Clutch City Foundation a sum of $5,000.
Rockets Gala
Clutch City Foundation Charity Experience to help raise funds and awareness for the Rockets continued efforts to support those in need throughout the Houston Community.
For every assist made by the Rockets on the court, Tito's donated ten dollars to the Clutch City Foundation, making a difference in the lives of the less fortunate.
