The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. "We Are Dreamers" Challenge will provide local middle school and high school students with the opportunity to submit original pieces of work on a specific focal point. In their submissions, students are asked to consider a time in their lives when they stood up for what they believed to be right, and how the situation and its outcome relate to Dr. King’s work. Dr. King expressed powerful thoughts through his speeches and sermons. We have all been inspired and learned a great deal from reading and listening to his powerful ideas and words.

The winners are (Left to Right): Abigail Meyer, Eseomon Aledan, Brandon Dabney and Porchia Ifill

The Washington Wizards “We Are Dreamers” Challenge Acknowledges the efforts of all of participants for continuing to honor the life, legacy and aspirations of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
