Wizards Top Knicks in Closer
Bobby Simmons scored a team-high 16 points to help lead the Wizards to a 79-70 win over the New York Knicks. Juan Dixon added 12 points and six assists while Kwame Brown scored 11 points to go along with five boards. The Wizards concluded Shaw's Pro Summer League 2002 with a 3-3 record.
Rookie guard Juan Dixon scored a game-high 26 points in Saturday's game, but it wasn't enough as the Spurs beat the Wizards 84-80. Kwame Brown scored 13 points and grabbed eight boards, while rookie forward Jared Jeffries scored six points, grabbed six rebound and dished out four assists.

Wizards Silence Wolves
The Washington Wizards summer league squad followed up their 25 point win against Orlando by handing the Minnesota Timberwolves their first summer league loss, 81-69. Rookie guard Juan Dixon led the team with 16 points, but second year center Etan Thomas dominated the game with 15 points and 14 boards. The team has Friday off before facing the Spurs Saturday at 1 p.m.

Washington Wizards exploded for an 88-63 win
over the Orlando Magic at Shaw's Pro Summer League Wednesday. All five
starters scored in double figures, and as a whole shot 52.7 percent from the
field. Etan Thomas and rookie Jared Jeffries both finished with 10 points
and eight rebounds.

Young Wizards Held Off
Led by Juan Dixon's 19 points, the Wizards made a run at the Celtics in the fourth quarter but fell short at Shaw's Pro Summer League Tuesday night, losing 75-67. Etan Thomas came up big for Washington with 11 points and a game-high 12 boards while Bobby Simmons added 12 points.
Juan Dixon led the Wizards summer league squad with 11 points, but it wasn't enough at Shaw's Pro Summer League Monday. The Wizards dropped the summer opener 59-53 to the Milwaukee Bucks summer squad.
The Wizards have announced that the club has pared down the 18-man mini camp roster to a 13-player team to compete in the Boston Celtics’ Shaw’s Pro Summer League.
