WIZARDS ANNOUNCE PROMOTIONAL SCHEDULE
WASHINGTON, D.C. –The Washington Wizards today announced their promotional schedule for the 2011-2012 season. Starting with opening night on Monday, Dec. 26, against the New Jersey Nets, every fan in attendance will receive a red Wizard branded t-shirt courtesy of the team. On New Year’s Day against the Boston Celtics, the team will unveil its road red uniforms for the home fans and magnetic schedules presented by Verizon will be available to all fans in attendance. On April 14 fans attending the Wizards game against the Cleveland Cavaliers will receive a John Wall bobblehead courtesy of Verizon. Other promotional giveaways for the season include winter hats from Volkswagen on Jan. 20, drawstring bags on March 3 courtesy of Capital One Bank and a commemorative poster sponsored by Comcast SportsNet on April 26.
“We are excited to present our 2011-12 promotional calendar,” Wizards Executive Vice President of Business Operations Greg Bibb stated. “We are fortunate to have a strong roster of corporate partners who will help us add value to our home schedule. We also look forward to celebrating the team’s new look by giving a red Wizards t-shirt to every fan in attendance at our December 26 home opener. This is our way of saying thank you to some of the best fans in the NBA.”
Highlights of the promotional schedule include Chinese New Year, Youth Sports Day, Earth Day and Fan Appreciation Night
