WASHINGTON, DC – The Washington Wizards announced the team’s 2011 preseason schedule today. The team will face the Philadelphia 76ers in a home-and-home set in preparation for the 2011-12 regular season. The Wizards will host the 76ers on Friday, Dec. 16 at 7:00 p.m. at Verizon Center. The two teams will meet again on Tuesday, Dec. 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia.
“We’re excited to be headed back to the court to pick up on the progress we made at the end of last year,” said Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld. “Our preseason game and the events we have planned throughout training camp will be a great way for our fans to see the competitive, tough and athletic team that will be fun for them to watch all season.”
Tickets for the Dec. 16 preseason game against the Sixers will go on sale Monday, Dec. 5, at 10:00 a.m. at www.washingtonwizards.com and 202-397-SEAT.
