Wizards Unveil New Trophy Case

The Washington Wizards are proud to announce that the team will unveil a new championship trophy case on Friday, January 7th when the Wizards take on the New Jersey Nets at 7:00 pm. Located near section 100 on the main concourse, the display case features new graphics and a refurbished Tiffany & Co. trophy celebrating the 1978 NBA Championship won by the organization.

“We are pleased to present the new Bullets Championship trophy case,” Wizards Executive Vice President Greg Bibb stated. “The new home of the completely refurbished 1978 NBA Championship trophy is representative of our commitment as an organization to pay homage to the accomplishments of those who accomplished great things while wearing the Bullets/Wizards jersey.”

The trophy case is part of an on-going initiative to connect the current Wizards organization and fans with the team’s proud past. This past October, the club launched the Bullets/Wizards Alumni Association. Led by Executive Director Bob Dandridge the association has helped the organization unite with players while honoring them for their contributions.
