Wizards Announce Training Staff

Waters joins the Wizards from the Chicago Bulls where he spent the last four years as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. Prior to that, Waters worked as the Assistant Athletic Trainer for Northwestern University and Assistant Football Trainer for the University of Iowa. He spent two seasons with NFL Europe working as the Head Athletic Trainer for the London Monarchs and the Assistant Athletic Trainer for the Rhein Fire.

Waters received a Masters in Exercise Science from Boise State University and earned a Bachelor in Science in Exercise Science and Bachelor in Psychology from University of Iowa.

Cleary returns to the Wizards after stints as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach with the Portland Trailblazers and Strength and Conditioning Consultant to Scottie Pippen. Before working as the Wizards Strength and Conditioning coach from 1999-2001, Cleary worked as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach with the Orlando Magic from 1997-98 and the Portland Trail Blazers from 1996-97.

Cleary earned his Masters of Science degree in Sports and Exercise from Boise State University and received his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Psychology from Lewis-Clark State College in Idaho, where he was a point guard for the basketball team. He served as the strength and conditioning coach for Monica Seles during the 1997 WTA season.
