NOTES Tonight’s contest is the second of
two meetings between the Washington Wizards and Houston Rockets.
The Rockets won the previous meeting this season, 103-91, at Verizon
Center on November 21st.
The Wizards are looking to snap a six game losing streak in Houston.
The last Wizards victory in Houston came on December 6, 2001. Washington
took that contest, 85-82.
Last Game...The Wizards defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder, 104-95,
on December 27th at Verizon Center..Antawn Jamison led all scorers
with 29 points on 12-of-22 from the field...Andray Blatche posted
hisfourth double-double of the season with 19 points and a career-high
tying 15 rebounds...Dominic McGuire scored a career-high 12 points
in his third start of the season, he also grabbed eight rebounds
and dished out four assists...Mike James scored nine points and
had a season-high 11 assists for Washington.
Last Game vs. Houston...The Wizards fell to the Houston Rockets,
103-91, at Verizon Center on November 21st...Antawn Jamison led
the Wizards with 27 points and also pulled down 10 rebounds which
marked his fourth straight double-double...Andray Blatche scored
a season-high of 14 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field...Caron
Butler added 12 points, seven rebounds and four assists...Deshawn
Stevenson led Washington with seven assists.
Among all NBA forwards, Caron Butler is 7th in scoring (21.0 ppg),
4th in assists (4.5 apg), 5th in steals (1.59 spg) and 5th in minutes
(38.3).
Among all NBA forwards, Antawn Jamison is 11th in scoring (20.5),
second in double-doubles (16), 7th in rebounding (9.2) and 3rd in
