GAME NOTES
Tonight’s game marks the third of four meetings between the Washington Wizards and Detroit Pistons. The
season series is currently tied at one game apiece. The Pistons defeated the Wizards, 117-109, at the Palace
of Auburn Hills, on November 1st. The Wizards defeated the Pistons, at Verizon Center on December
9th, 107-94.
Last game…Washington lost to the Indiana Pacers, 118-98, at Verizon Center on December 15th. The Wizards
received 71 combined points from its starting frontcourt. Antawn Jamison posted his fourteen doubledouble
of the season with 26 points and a season-high 15 rebounds. Caron Butler scored 26 points and
added eight rebounds and five assists. Andray Blatche, who made his second start of the season, finished
with 19 points for Washington.
Last game versus Detroit...The Wizards defeated the Detroit Pistons, 107-94, at the Verizon Center on December
9th...Caron Butler led all scorers with 33 points, he also had six assists and five rebounds...Antawn
Jamison had his third straight double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds...Washington was sparked by
the impressive play from its bench which contributed 59 points...Juan Dixon scored a season-high 16 points
and dished out seven assists...Darius Songaila added 15 points and five rebounds...Washington scored a
season-high 64 second half points, which included a 31 point third quarter which seized control of the game
for the Wizards.
