GAME NOTES

  • Today’s game is the second of four meetings between the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers. The two teams will meet again on February 22 in Washington and April 6th in Indiana.
  • Last game...The Wizards defeated the Indiana Pacers, 104-90, on December 29th at Verizon Center...The Wizards were led by Nick Young who scored 25 points and pulled down a career-high nine rebounds...Andray Blatche was one of three Wizards who recorded double-doubles as he posted 22 points and 11 rebounds...JaVale McGee scored 16 points, grabbed 10 rebounds and blocked four shots...John Wall scored 10 points to go along with 12 assists...Cartier Martin scored all 11 of his points in the second half...Mike Dunleavy led Indiana with 20 points.
  • The Wizards had three players record double-doubles in the win over Indiana (Blatche--22 pts, 11 rebs., McGee--16 pts, 10 rebs., Wall--10 pts, 12 assists). This marked the second time this season the Wizards have accomplished this feat. The same trio, Blatche (16pts, 15 rebs), McGee (11pts, 10 rebs) and Wall (13 pts, 10 assists) posted double-doubles on November 6th versus Cleveland.
  • JaVale McGee has blocked two or more shots in seven consecutive games. During this stretch McGee is averaging 3.1 blocks per game. McGee had a career-high stretch of nine consecutive games with two or more blocks earlier this season from November 6-23.
  • With 12 assists off of the bench in the win over Indiana (12/29), John Wall became the third player this season (Jose Juan Barea-DAL, Jordan Farmer-NJN) to have at least 12 assists off of the bench. Wall became the first Washington player to accomplish this since John Williams, who had 13 assists off of the bench on January 6, 1989.
  • In the win over Indiana, the Wizards achieved season-highs in total rebounds (54) and offensive rebounds (21) and committed a season-low nine turnovers.
