NOTES Tonight’s game marks the first of two meetings between the Washington Wizards and Dallas
Wizards head coach Flip Saunders holds a 10-2 (.833) career record on opening night.
San Antonio Spurs head coach Gregg Popovich is the only active head coach with a better
record (11-1, .917) than Saunders on opening night.
Washington is 20-28 all time on opening night.
Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas will make his first opening night start since the 2007-08 season.
In that game, Arenas scored a game-high 34 points and grabbed eight rebounds
against the Indiana Pacers.
