Justin (Arlington, VA):
It seems that Gilbert (Arenas) took both you and Nick Young under his wing to help you adjust from college to the NBA . Do you see a different side of Gilbert living with him compared to on the court? And how has he helped you grow in your first year as a Wizard?
Dominic McGuire: “Gilbert has helped me a lot since I started here. Off the court when we aren’t around all our teammates he is real calm. He is still playful but he’s more like an older brother. He gives us a lot of good information. When we are in the locker room its completely different, because this is his auditorium.”
Martynas (McLean, VA): What is the best part about playing for the Washington Wizards and what do you like most about living in Washington D.C.?
Dominic McGuire:“The best part is just being around all of my teammates. They are like my second family. The best part about living in D.C. is that everything is close and there is a lot to do out here.”
Regie (Annandale, VA)"
Do you plan on having your own community program like Caron does with his "Coats for Kids" or Gilbert with his "Scores for Schools"?
Dominic McGuire:“I like working with kids. So I will probably host a basketball camp at a YMCA this summer.”
Aaron (Potomac, MD): Who was your favorite basketball player before you were in the NBA?
Dominic McGuire:“My favorite player before I was in the NBA was Tracy McGrady."
Marco:
How has your first year in the NBA been? What are your likes and dislikes about playing in the NBA?
Dominic McGuire:“My first year has been cool, but it’s been a big transition. I’m having fun and I love playing in the NBA there is really nothing I dislike.
