MASON TO UNDERGO SURGERY

Singleton Signed For Remainder of Season

WASHINGTON, DC – Washington Wizards President Ernie Grunfeld announced today that guard Roger Mason Jr. will have surgery on Monday to repair an avulsion fracture in his left index finger and will miss the remainder of the season. Mason has averaged 5.5 points and 1.3 rebounds while shooting .383 (59-154) from three-point range in 52 games for the Wizards this season.

In addition, Grunfeld announced today that the team has signed forward James Singleton for the remainder of the season. Singleton, who was originally signed to a 10-day contract on April 5, has averaged 9.8 points and 7.7 rebounds while shooting .561 (23-41) from the field in six games for the Wizards.
