July 18th Game Recap: Wizards vs. Bucks

Wizards Complete Comeback

Down by 16 points in the second half, the Wizards fought their way back and knocked off the Milwaukee Bucks, 78-75, on Wednesday evening in Las Vegas. The win means that the Wizards finish their Summer League schedule with a winning record (3-2).

It was not the prettiest of first halves for the Wizards, as they trailed by 12 heading into the locker room. But, after some motivational words from Summer League Head Coach Sam Cassell, the Wizards responded with a much better effort in the second half, holding the Bucks to just 26 points.

Bradley Beal lead the charge for the Wizards, pouring in 18 points and ripping down six boards in 33 minutes of play.

Shelvin Mack and Shavlik Randolph also were productive and added 11 points apeice. Randolph had a team-high 10 rebounds.

Chris Singleton played some outstanding defense in the fourth quarter and had a few marquis blocks that helped seal the win for the Wizards. He also had 10 points and six rebounds.

Jan Vesely left the game in the first quarter after rolling his ankle.

This was the final game of Summer League for the Wizards. They will begin pre-season play in October.
