GAME NOTES

  • Tonight’s game is the first of three meetings between the Washington Wizards and Indiana Pacers. The two teams will meet again on March 29th in Indiana and April 4th in Washington. The Pacers won last season’s series, 3-1.
  • Last game versus New Jersey...The Wizards defeated the New Jersey Nets, 108-89, last night in New Jersey...Nene scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds in his Wizards debut... Jordan Crawford led all scorers with 23 points on 7-of-13 from the field...Roger Mason scored 16 points on 6-of-11 from the field...John Wall tallied 12 points, eight assists and five rebounds...Kevin Seraphin scored 12 points on 6-of-7 from the field in 16:02 minutes of play.
  • With 22 points and 10 rebounds in his Wizards debut, Nene became the first Washington player since Moses Malone to post at least 22 points and 10 rebounds in his debut with Washington. Malone recorded 23 points and 10 rebounds on October 31, 1986 for the Bullets at the Boston.
  • Nene is the first Washington player to record a double-double in his Washington debut, since Juwan Howard had 10 points and 11 assists versus Boston on November 19, 1994.
  • Kevin Seraphin is averaging 11.5 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.5 blocks in his last four games.
  • Jordan Crawford is averaging 14.9 points per game in 13 games as a starter this season.
  • Roger Mason is averaging 9.4 points per game, while shooting .494 from the field in 12 games since the All-Star break.
  • Key Matchup: Nene vs Roy Hibbert - After shining in his Wizards debut, Nene will now get a chance to show his talents to the DC crowd as he readies himself for his first game at Verizon Center as a member of the Wizards. Nene put in 22 points and pulled down 10 boards in last night's win over New Jersey, but tonight he goes up against one of the up and coming centers in the NBA in Roy Hibbert. Standing at 7'2, Hibbert's length can be difficult to defend, but Nene will need to use his strength and experience to outduel the former Hoya.
  • Tonight's game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet + or heard on WJFK The Fan 106.7 at 7:00pm
