GAME NOTES
- Tonight’s game is the second of three meetings between the Washington Wizards and
the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Wizards currently lead the season series, 1-0. They play again on April 25th in Cleveland at Quicken Loans Arena.
- Last game versus New York...The Knicks defeated the Wizards, 103-65, on April 14th at Madison Square Garden...Jordan Crawford led the Wizards with 17 points, Kevin Seraphin added 12, and Roger Mason Jr. had 11 off the bench.
- Last time versus Cleveland…The Wizards deafeated the Cavs, 101-98, on March 3rd at
Verizon Center...Jordan Crawford led all scorers with 31 points on 13-of-22 from the field...
John Wall scored 24 points to go along with five rebounds and five assists... Roger Mason Jr. had 11 points off the bench.
- Kevin Seraphin has scored 10 or more points in eight consecutive starts at center. The last Washington player to score 10 or
more points in eight consecutive starts at center was Gheorghe Muresan. Muresan scored 10 or
more points in eight consecutive starts from March 6-18 of 1997.
- John Wall’s 52 blocks on the season are second in the NBA among guards behind Portland’s Nicolas
Batum (58). The 52 blocks by Wall are the most by a Washington guard since Phil Chenier’s 58
blocks during the 1974-75 season.
-
Key Matchup: Jordan Crawford vs. Anthony Parker - Jordan Crawford scored 31 points against the Cavs in their last meeting, and the Wizards will be relying upon his offense to carry them again tonight against the bigger Anthony Parker. In that last game, Parker struggled from the field, shooting 2-9 from the floor, but it will be his defense on Crawford that will be the focus tonight.
- Tonight's game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet or NBATV and heard on WJFK The Fan 106.7 at 7:00pm.
