GAME NOTES

  • Tonight's game is the third of four meetings between the Washington Wizards and Charlotte Bobcats. The two teams will meet again on April 23rd in Washington. The Wizards currently lead the season series, 2-0.
  • Last game versus New Jersey...The Wizards lost to the New Jersey Nets, 110-98, on April 6th in New Jersey...John Wall led the Wizards with 18 points, six rebounds and four assists...Roger Mason scored 15 points on 6-of-9 from the field...Kevin Seraphin scored 15 points and grabbed nine rebounds...James Singleton scored 12 points and grabbed nine rebounds.
  • Last time versus Charlotte...The Wizards captured their first road victory of season, defeating the Charlotte Bobcats, 102-99, on January 28th at Time Warner Cable Arena...Former Wizard JaVale McGee led the team with 22 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks...Former Wizard Nick Young scored 21 points...Trevor Booker scored a season-high 16 points on a perfect shooting night (6-of-6 from the field, 4-of-4 from the free-throw line)...John Wall scored 13 points and had a season-high tying 10 assists...The Wizards shot .526 percent from the field marking the first time this season they have shot over .500 percent from the field.
  • John Wall passed the 1,000 career assist mark in Detroit (4/5). Wall became the sixth fastest player in NBA history (124 games) to reach the 2,000 point/1,000 assist plateau.
  • Key Matchup: John Wall vs. Kemba Walker - Monday night will feature two of the better young point guards in the league as second year PG John Wall goes up against rookie PG Kemba Walker. Wall is averaging 23 points and seven assists over the Wizards past two games and has regained his star form. Kemba Walker has been in double figures in the Bobcats last four games and is the engine that makes the Bobcats go. The last time these two teams met, Walker tallied his first and only career triple double, but the Wizards still came out with the win. In order for that to happen again, the Wizards will need to be sure to limit Walker's effectiveness and force him to give the ball up early in the shot clock.
  • Tonight's game can be seen on Comcast SportsNet or heard on WJFK The Fan 106.7 at 7:00pm.
