Wizards Draft Central ’06
With the 2006 NBA Draft just hours away, several web sites have published their thoughts on who the Wizards will select with the 18th overall pick tonight. The following are some of the updated mock drafts.

The Washington Wizards conducted their last set of Pre-Draft Workouts on Tuesday, June 20 at Verizon Center. James Augustine (Illinois) and Cedric Simmons (NC State) were two of the four big men working out.
With eight days remaining before the 2006 NBA Draft, potential NBA players will continue to work out for the Wizards front-office and coaching staff in hopes of making a positive impression. The Wizards hold the 18th and 48th overall picks in the 2006 NBA Draft.

"Much of the talk in Orlando this week centered on the future of the NBA Pre-Draft Camp, and whether the camp could survive in today’s climate, which has player agents discouraging borderline first-round prospects from participating in the camp."
"Something will eventually have to give, according to an informal poll of general managers, scouts, camp officials and media members. One possible solution being tossed around is the creation of an NBA combine, much like what the NFL has. Under such a system, all private workouts would be eliminated, creating more of a one-stop shop for talent evaluation."
