The Washington Wizards selected JaVale Mcgee with the 18th overall pick in the
NBA Draft. McGee is a 7-foot center from Nevada. As a sophomore
he averaged 14.1 points, 7.3 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game. In
the 2nd round the Wizards took Bill Walker and traded him to Boston
for cash considerations.
