Blatche On the Road to Recovery
Washington Wizards rookie Andray Blatche, who was shot once in the upper body Sunday morning when he was the victim of an attempted carjacking, was at MCI Center Friday afternoon and met with members of the local media.
“I’m recovering pretty well. Every day I’m improving in my strength and my ability," said Blatche. "My rehabilitation is getting me back to where I started, so I think it’s moving along pretty fast.”
“I feel real fortunate", added Blatche. "I feel like this is really an amazing thing that God did for me. To get shot in the arm and the chest, and to be out here walking and still doing things I used to do, I’m extremely fortunate.”
“I learned a lot of lessons. I shouldn’t have been out that late to begin with. I’m giving myself a curfew now. The lesson is that anything can happen to anybody, and you’ve got to be careful with what you do.”
