Wizards, NBA Cares and Autism Speaks To Recognize National Autism Awareness Month

The NBA and the Washington Wizards have partnered with Autism Speaks in recognition that April is National Autism Awareness Month, with in-game features beginning tomorrow night when the Wizards take on the Chicago Bulls at Verizon Center at 7:00 pm. The Wizards are one of several NBA teams that will feature a special Autism Speaks public service announcement in-arena and during CSN broadcasts throughout the month of April.

Autism Speaks, dedicated to funding research into the causes, prevention, treatments, and cure for autism, also raises public awareness about autism and its effects on individuals, families and society, aiming to bring hope to all who deal with the hardships of the disorder. Autism Speaks is committed to raising the funds necessary to support these goals, by bringing the autism community together as one strong voice.
