For the second game in a row, the third quarter proved to be the Wizards undoing as the Warriors were too much for the Wizards in the second half, winning 112-96. The game was tied at the half, but the Warriors jumped on the Wizards in the third quarter and it was too much for the Wizards to come back from. The Wizards got as close as 11 in the fourth quarter. The Warriors had double-doubles from Bogut, Lee and Curry while Thompson led all scorers with 26. For the Wizards, Wall had a double-double with 14 points and 10 assists while Nene chipped in 14 points off the bench.
The opening moments of the second half defined this one. The Warriors opened the second half on a 13-0 run, scoring on six of their first eight possessions and the Wizards would never recover.
Player of the Game
Klay Thompson was electric from long distance, leading all scorers with 26 points and shooting 6/9 from beyond the arc. He was 9/14 from the field overall.
34-15. For the second game in a row, it was the third quarter that proved to be a problem for the Wizards as the Warriors outscored them by 19 in the frame. The Wizards outscored the Warriors by three over the other three quarters.
Jan Vesely provided a nice spark off the bench, scoring eight points, grabbing six points and blocking three shots.
