The Wizards made a valiant comeback, but in the end it was too little too late as they fell to the Suns, 99-93. The Suns led by as many as 25 in the third quarter but the Wizards chipped away at it, eventually getting as close as three but it was not enough. The Suns were on fire for the better part of the first two and a half quarters, shooting around 60%, before the Wizards locked down on defense to make it a game. John Wall led all scorers with 29 points, while Gortat had 17 and Ariza 14. The Suns dynamic backcourt duo of Dragic and Bledsoe did not disappoint, combining for 48 points on 19/35 shooting, 13 boards and 13 assists.

Key Moment

With the wizards down by 11 and just three minutes to go, John Wall took over. Over the next minute and a half, Wall scored on four straight possessions, going on a personal 8-0 run. Bledsoe answered with the biggest shot of the night though, a three from way beyond the arc to put the Suns up six and the game away.

Player of the Game

John Wall took the game over in the second half, ending with 29 points on 10/22 shooting and added six assists and two steals. 14 of Wall's 29 points came in the fourth quarter. He also reached 100 three pointers for the season, the first time he has done that in his career.

Key Number

100. Wall's second three pointer of the game was his 100th for the season, joining Martell Webster, Trevor Ariza and Bradley Beal in the century club. It marks the first time in franchise history that four players have hit 100 threes.

Unsung Hero

As the Wizards got back into the game with a three guard lineup, it meant a lot of minutes for Andre Miller. He scored seven points and had two assists, but his impact was felt more on the defensive end as he grabbed five boards and forced four steals. Finally he finished as a +11, the Wizards' high mark.
