The Wizards clinched a spot in the 2014 NBA playoffs, winning by their largest margin of victory this year, 118-92 over the Celtics. The Wizards cruised to victory in the second half, leading by as many as 33 and never letting the Celtics back into the game. It was Washington's best shooting night of the season, as they shot 62.5% from the field, 52.6% from three and 85.7% from the free throw line. Six Wizards finished in double figures, led by Gortat with 22 and Beal with 19 (on 7/8 shooting). Wall recorded his 27th double-double of the year with 13 points and 10 assists. Jared Sullinger led all scorers with 25 points in the loss.

Key Moment

The Wizards led by 11 at the half, but immediately put the game out of reach in the opening moments of the third frame. Beal scored five quick points and Washington opened on a 9-2 run to go up by 18 and put the the contest to bed.

Player of the Game

Marcin Gortat dominated down low, especially early in the contest when the game was still in doubt. He led the Wizards with 22 points on 10/13 shooting, eight rebounds, four assists and three steals.

Unsung Hero

Trevor Ariza quietly had a fantastic night, scoring 18 points on 7/13 shooting, including 3/6 from beyond the arc and added seven rebounds.
