The Wizards came up just short in Sacramento, falling to the Kings in OT, 117-111. The Wizards trailed big early but fought back into the game with a big run at the close of the first half and beginning of the second. Washington had the lead for just about the entire second half before Wall missed two free throws in the closing moments and Gay followed with a tough runner to force OT. The Kings were just a little better in OT to get the win. The Kings' big three of Thomas, Gay and Cousins each had 24 points with Thomas getting a triple-double (11 rebounds, 10 assists) and Cousins a double-double (14 boards). Gortat had 19 points and 14 boards, Beal had 19 points and Gooden had 18 off the bench.

Key Moment

With 17 seconds to play and the Wizards up by two, Wall went to the free throw line with a chance to ice the game. He would miss both free throws though and Gay would follow with a tough runner to tie things up. Beal's jumper at the buzzer came up just short and the Wizards would do the same in OT.

Player of the Game

Rudy Gay hit big shot after big shot down the stretch, scoring 24 points, with 16 of them coming in the fourth quarter and overtime. He shot 10/17 from the field, grabbed six boards and had three steals.
