The Wizards finished up their tough eight games in 12 nights stretch with a nice victory over the Hawks, 108-101. It gives them a 6-2 record over that period and also makes them an impressive 4-1 on the second night of back to backs. John Wall led the way, with 26 points on 9/18 shooting, 12 assists, six boards and five steals. All five Wizards starters got into double figures on the night with Ariza getting 24, Webster 19, Nene 13 and Gortat 12.

Key Moment

About halfway through the fourth quarter, the Hawks cut a once 18 point Wizards lead to just three on a Horford jumper. After both teams got defensive stops, Ariza came up with the shot of the game, a tough three pointer and the Hawks would never get that close again. The play was set up by a big hustle offensive board from Gortat after Horford had swatted Ariza driving to the hoop.

Player of the Game

John Wall stuffed the stat sheet tonight, simply doing it all. He finished with 26 points on 9/18 shooting, 12 assists, six boards, five steals and two threes.

Key Number

50%. The Wizards used the three ball to hold back the Hawks tonight, shooting 12/24 for 50% from beyond the arc. The effort was led by Ariza at 5/6 and Webster at 5/9.

Unsung Hero

Tonight was the first time Chris Singleton has gotten more than 10 minutes and he was effective, scoring four points on 2/4 shooting to go along with five rebounds and two steals.
