Despite a double digit fourth quarter lead for the Wizards, the Thunder rallied to force OT and after a back and forth extra session, the Thunder came out on top 106-105. The Wizards had the last possession of the game and Wall could not get a runner to go for the win. Bradley Beal set a new career high in points with 34 in the loss.

Key Moment

There are so many moments that could qualify in this one but the turning point was probably when Nene and Westbrook each got their second technical fouls and were therefore ejected with 3:18 to go in regulation. The Wizards at the time were up by 10 and the Thunder outscored the Wizards 14-4 the rest of the way in regulation to force the extra session.

Player of the Game

Bradley Beal was just outstanding, he set a new career high with 34 points on 13/23 shooting and at times in this one it seemed as though he simply could not miss. He also tied his career high with six made threes on 75% shooting from beyond the arc and added six rebounds.

Key Number

13. The Wizards really struggled from the charity stripe as they missed 13 free throws and shot just 50%.

Unsung Hero

Nene only played 25 minutes in the contest but was a major difference maker on both ends of the court. He finished with 14 points on 5/6 shooting, seven rebounds and six assists.
