Player of the Game
Trevor Ariza bounced back from a poor start to the year 2014 to get a big double-double. He scored 21 points on 9/17 shooting and grabbing 10 boards. He also hit the aforementioned biggest shot of the night, a three ball late in the fourth quarter when the Pelicans had cut the lead from 21 to just 6.
46-37. The Wizards outrebounded Anthony Davis and a good rebounding Pelicans team by nine, limiting Davis to seven boards in the game.
Jan Vesely had probably his best game of the season, scoring a season high 12 points, grabbing seven boards (including five on the offensive end) and was also a team high +13. He was a human highlight reel, throwing down a couple of incredible alley-oops.
