Fresh off their first win of the season, the Wizards look to grab their first road win on Friday night when they visit MSG to take on the Knicks (7:30 pm | TV: CSN/NBATV | Radio: 106.7 FM, 1500 AM).

The Knicks got off to a hot start, winning their first six games, but have gone 4-4 since. They have been without one of their stars as well this season, as Amar'e Stoudemire has been sidelined with a left knee injury. Iman Shumpert and Jason Kidd are also not expected to play, which means the Knicks will rely more on guys like Raymond Felton, Ronnie Brewer, and Pablo Prigoni in the backcourt.

The Wizards have been a strong defensive team this season, but the Knicks are a top five offensive powerhouse with arguably the best scorer in the game in Carmelo Anthony. The Wizards will probably throw a combination of defenders on Anthony from Trevor Ariza to Chris Singleton and do whatever they can to slow him down.

The Wizards second unit outscored the Blazers 46-4 on Wednesday night, but don't expect that much of a lobsided number in tonight's game. The Knicks' Steve Novak and JR Smith are two sharpshooters who comes off the bench and can provide instant offense from behind the three-point line. Novak went for 19 points when the two teams met last season at Verizon Center and Smith is shooting 46% from long-range this year, which is a career high.

Emeka Okafor was the hero for the Wizards on Wednesday night, sinking two clutch free throws late in the game to give the Wizards their first win. The Wizards will need Okafor to give them a big effort in tonight's game and lean on his veteran presence in a hostile Madison Square Garden.

Tonight, he will get the former All-Star and Olympian Tyson Chandler. Both of these players may be more known for their defensive ability and that may be where this game is won. Chandler is the reigning defensive player of the year, so the Wizard will be smart to not play to his strengths. While they can't eliminate the post game, they don't want to give Chandler a lot of chances to block shots and will need to keep a body on him on all possessions.
