#WizBucks Preview

By: Jeremy Hyman

Last Season vs. Milwaukee

The Wizards won the season series, 2-1.

What to Watch For

Wizards Come in Hot, Milwaukee Not - The Wizards have won four of their last five games and are one of the hottest teams in the Eastern Conference. The Bucks have lost nine in a row and have the worst record in the east. With that said, the Wizards are playing the second night of a back-to-back and the Bucks will look to protect their home court and snap their streak with the Wizards in town tonight.

Wolters Off the Bench - Rookie point guard Nate Wolters has done a nice job for the Bucks coming off the bench. He's averaging 7.5 points, 4.5 assists, and 27.0 minutes per game and will be a guy the Wizards second unit needs to watch out for. The Wizards are still searching for some more production from their bench, so look to see how Wolters and the Bucks bench matchup with the Wiz tonight.

Who's Hot

Wizards - John Wall won the Eastern Conference Player of the Week award last week, and followed that up with a 31 point, 9 assist effort last night in a win over the Lakers. He may be the hottest player in the NBA right now and will look to continue his ways tonight in Milwaukee.

Bucks - Khris Middleton has averaged 17.0 ppg over his last two games and is averaging 10.1 ppg on the season.

X-Factor

Don't Look at Records - The Wizards are not a team that can go into a game like tonight and expect to win because they are facing a team with less talent. Last season they struggled against some of the lesser teams in the league, so they'll need to come out focused and hungry tonight.

The action kicks off at 8:00pm in Milwaukee.

Nene is coming off a career-high 30 point effort in a win over the Lakers last night and has been playing tremendous basketball over the last two weeks. He's averaging 19.3 ppg over his last six games and has been a dominant force in the post. Tonight, he goes up against Ersan Ilyasova, who is a nice player but physically can't match up with Nene on the low block. Ilyasova is able to stretch the floor and has had some big games against the Wizards in the past, so look for this matchup tonight when the two teams clash.

Nene's dunks from last night.
