Wizards Community Program "Wizards in the Community," will highlight a series of programs that focus on education, health and fitness, and NBA initiatives.
The entire Wizards organization is constantly in the community either giving back or interacting with fans. Check out some of the best appearances and fan interaction from the past year.
BLACK HISTORY MONTH
The Wizards and Verizon are proud to honor the great and countless contributions of African-Americans. 2012 Honorees and This Day in Black History.
WOUNDED WARRIORS
On Sunday, December 19th the Washington Wizards hosted Wounded Warriors at practice.
READING TIMEOUTS
Throughout the 2010-11 season the Washington Wizards hosted Reading Timeouts for D.C. area schools.
SALUTE TO THE STARS
Last season, the Washington Wizards hosted their second annual Salute to the Stars event at Morton's the Steakhouse. Over 200 combat veterans and their families as well as current wounded service men and women attended the event.
WIZARDS EMPLOYEES VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
It's not just the Players and Coaches that make a difference off the court, Wizards employees do so as well. Our employees participate in food delivery programs, canned food drives, Everybody Wins DC! and our Family-to-Family program.
