Pollin Award Winner: March 13, 2004

Mark Hanna been presented the 2003-04 Pollin Award for his outstanding dedication to the community.

Mr. Hanna is a volunteer at the DC Employment Justice Center. Each week he helps dozens of low-income workers remedy work place violations that threaten their financial livelihood. He has helped many women put an end to sexual harassment, as well as help injured workers receive workers compensation. He also assists Middle Eastern workers remedy workplace discrimination in the aftermath of 9/11. Mark has devoted one evening each week providing pro bono legal services for those who cannot afford a lawyer, but who desperately need one.
