Mike Miller, Giant and the Washington Wizards will sponsor the team’s twelfth annual turkey basket giveaway tonight at Verizon Center following the Wizards vs. 76ers basketball game. Through ‘Miller’s Thanksgiving Day Assist’, Miller purchased 300 turkeys to distribute to the city’s underserved families. With the help of Giant, 300 turkeys and 2,000 canned food items will be distributed to make for a healthy holiday meal. Miller will meet all of the recipient families to distribute the baskets in sections 116 and 117 at the conclusion of the game.

Earlier today, Wizards coaches and front office personnel hosted ‘Abe’s Table Holiday Luncheon’ for DC area senior citizens. 250 seniors were treated to a hot holiday meal in Verizon Center’s Acela Club by President Ernie Grunfeld, Head Coach Flip Saunders and Assistant Coaches Randy Wittman, Don Zierden, Sam Cassell, Wes Unseld Jr., Ryan Saunders and others
