Join Gilbert Arenas, along with several of his teammates, and Magic Johnson at Freddie Mac’s Hoops for the Homeless Saturday, September 13 at the Verizon Center.

Freddie Mac’s Hoops for the Homeless --- a basketball tournament and family event with Arenas, Magic and a host of other celebrities --- has raised millions to help homeless children and families in our region. It’s an exciting day, with the chance for autographs and some great prizes. And there’s children’s entertainment, including a slam dunk clinic, and Hoops too!

The Washington Wizards are proud to help sponsor this event. And Arenas is donating $200 for each 3-point shot the Wizards scored last season.

Online charitable auction: Bid on Arenas’ signed jersey, Magic Johnson signed balls and other great sports items on the Hoops site now through Sept. 15!

Tickets just $5 and children 12 and under are free. Buy tickets the day of at Verizon Center.

Freddie Mac underwrites this charitable event, so all proceeds go directly to six local nonprofits that serve the homeless. It’s basketball for a great cause: talk about a slam dunk!
