Seasonal Camps
SPRING BREAK CAMPS
The Washington Wizards + Mystics Spring Break Camps will provide instruction designed specifically for the skill levels of the participants. The daily activities will include individual and team-oriented skill stations as well as game-level competitions. In addition to the experienced staff, the camp will also feature guest instruction from former/current Wizards and Mystics players, coaches, and staff.
The 2012 Wizards + Mystics Spring Break Camps were offered at Charles Houston Recreation Center (Alexandria), City of Bowie Gymnasium, and The Woods Academy (Bethesda). The youth participants were treated to special guest appearances and professional instruction from current Wizards Kevin Seraphin, Jan Vesely, and Chris Singleton as well as alumni members Michael Adams and Phil Chenier! Wizards Radio Color Analyst Glenn Consor also stopped by to share some of his basketball knowledge with the campers.
HOLIDAY CAMPS
The Washington Wizards + Mystics Holiday Hoops Camps will operate during the holiday break and will focus on the fundamentals of the game, both offensively and defensively, with the curriculum specifically designed for the various skill levels of the participants. The daily activities will include individual and team-oriented skill stations as well as game-level competitions. The Wizards + Mystics Camp Staff will also instill the importance of commitment, teamwork, and character.
Participants of the 2011 Wizards + Mystics Holiday Hoops Camps learned new skills first-hand from Mystics All-Star forward Crystal Langhorne and Bullets/Wizards alums Awvee Storey and Kevin Grevey and were treated with a special Dunk Show from G-Man! The camps, offered at George Mason University and Georgetown Visitation, operated for three days, December 27-29.
