What is the commitment required to being a Warrior Girl?

  • Attend and perform at Warriors home games
  • Attend rehearsals: Monday evenings / Wednesday evenings / Sunday afternoons. Additional rehearsals may be scheduled for games, appearances, dance clinics, special events and playoffs.
  • Personal appearances (charity and paid)
  • Media interviews
  • Photo shoots
  • Dance clinics
  • Team bonding camp

What is the Warrior Girl audition process?

Auditions are a multi-step process to select the 2013-2014 Warrior Girls. The process includes the application, preliminary audition, finalist interview, finalist boot camp and final audition.

  • Wednesday, July 17th: Final day to pre-register for auditions. At this time the application, resume, $15 registration fee and head shot (5x7 or larger) must be turned in to the Warriors office. Please note: Walk-ups day of auditions will be accepted with the increased registration fee of $25.
  • Saturday, July 20th: Preliminary auditions. There will be two-cuts made at the prelims. You will learn a jazz and a hip hop dance combination that will be performed in front of a panel of judges. At the end of this audition a group of finalists will be selected to continue to finals.
  • Finalist mandatory dates: Finalists selected on July 20th must be available from July 21-26 to attend the interview, boot camp and final auditions.

What should I wear to auditions?

  • Two piece attire (half top with briefs or boy cut shorts)
  • Skin colored nylons
  • Non-marking shoes (Jazz, dance sneakers, athletic shoes)
  • Hair must be worn down; Full hair and make-up
  • Cover tattoos
  • Minimal jewelry

What should I bring to prelims?

  • Application, 5x7 head shot (non- returnable), $25 registration fee (if you haven’t pre-registered)
  • Water and snacks
  • Hair and make-up supplies

What should I do to prepare for auditions?

Warrior Girl prep classes are not mandatory but highly suggested as an excellent way to touch up on your dance skills and learn what it takes to be a Warrior Girl! Each workshop costs $30, and we also offer an all-session package for $100 (includes audition registration fee) and space is limited.
