    Career Notes: Played two fine seasons at France’s top level for Pau Orthez before his 21st birthday. Played in France’s Pro A League All-Star Game each of past three seasons. He is now a member of France’s National Team. Previously a member of the French Junior National Team that won the gold medal in the 2000 European Junior Championship.

    (2002-03): Playing for Pau Orthez in Euroleague play, increased his scoring from the previous season. Made at least three three-point shots in six of his first 13 games. Against Alba Berlin of Germany, tallied 16 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and one blocked shot. Against Benetton Treviso of Italy, collected 14 points, six rebounds and four assists. After not scoring in double figures the first four Euroleague games, hit double digits in seven of the next nine games. In French League play, hit for 23 points vs. Le Mans, including 4-for-7 from three-point range. In win over Strasbourg, tallied 20 points on 8-for-12 shooting. Notched 18 points and five rebounds in just 18 minutes in win over Villeurbanne.

    (2001-02): In France’s top league (Pro A), averaged 8.3 points and 2.5 rebounds. In Euroleague games, averaged 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds in only 19 minutes per game. Helped team to 2002 French National Cup.

    (2000-01): In first full season playing at the top level, averaged 8.2 points and 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists. Shot a career-best 39.3 percent from three-point range. Helped Pau Orthez to the league championship. In Suproleague games, averaged 6.7 points and 2.2 rebounds.

    Strengths: Scouting reports profile him as an exciting leaper with above average speed and improving perimeter shooting ability. Noted as an excellent offensive rebounder who is surprisingly strong for his age.

    Personal: His older brother Florent Pietrus is his teammate with Pau Orthez.
