Nibbles, Dribbles And Sips 2010
January 1, 2010
On Monday, October 4, the Warriors hosted the Second Annual Nibbles, Dribbles & Sips, a complimentary food and wine event for their dedicated season ticket holders.
Held inside Oracle Arena, Nibbles, Dribbles & Sips was attended by over 4,000 fans.
Once again, the event featured some of the top restaurants...
...and wineries from throughout the Bay Area.
All told, over 70 restaurants and wineries took part in this year's event. Lauren Duncan of Oenotri is seen here serving food to several fans eager to sample their dish.
Warriors season ticket holders had the opportunity to sample some of the finest wines and food that the Bay Area has to offer.
Benefiting the San Francisco Bay Area chapter of Meals on Wheels, the complimentary charitable event was another unique and fun way for the Warriors to say 'thank you' to their valued season ticket holders.
While the restaurants and wineries made their final preparations...
...many Warriors started mingling with the assembled crowd, including Andris Biedrins...
...rookie Ekpe Udoh...
...Head Coach Keith Smart and General Manager Larry Riley (seen here with Chef Richard Reddington of Redd Napa Valley and Chef Mark Dommen of One Market San Francisco)...
...plus Warriors legends Nate Thurmond...
...and Alvin Attles.
Some, like Dorell Wright, even had the chance to sample some of the delicious food.
The event was attended by families and fans of all ages.
The cotton candy provided by Chef Charles Phan and The Slanted Door proved to be very popular with the fans.
And while much of the action took place on the Oracle Arena floor...
...a good number of restaurants and wineries were also represented in one of the arena's clubs.
The Team Store was a popular spot with fans looking to secure brand new Warriors gear before the start of the season.
The Warrior Girls were also present at the event, posing for pictures and helping sell raffle tickets.
A number of raffle prizes were handed out at the end of the night, including a VIP road trip experience that included the chance to see the Warriors play the Lakers in Los Angeles.
Tom Bracamontes of Mi Sueno Winery was one of many vendors who participated in Nibbles, Dribbles & Sips for the second-straight year...
...while the event also featured first-time participants such as Hall Wines.
Season ticket holders certainly enjoyed their opportunity to meet representatives from Northern California wineries and both learn about and sample their wine.
After much hard work was put in by a variety of people and organizations, the Oracle Arena floor quickly went from looking like this....
...to looking like this.
The event not only gives season ticket holders the chance to sample food and wine, it also serves as a chance for the restaurants and wineries to showcase themselves.
And the presentation and decoration of the food and tables were a sight to be seen.
30 minutes into the event, the entire Warriors team took to the stage.
Fans quickly gathered around and began capturing the Q&A session.
Conducting the Q&A session was none other than actor/comedian Kevin Hart.
After introducing the team one-by-one, Hart began asking the team questions, beginning with Head Coach Keith Smart.
Hart brought his trademark style of comedy to the stage...
...and had the players and the crowd laughing throughout the session.
...and David Lee all talked about what they were going to bring to the table in their first year as Warriors.
Hart joked that Andris Biedrins and Lou Amundson looked like two male models.
Needless to say, Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry were highly entertained.
With Brandan Wright's birthday falling on Tuesday, the Warriors presented him with a cake while the crowd sang 'Happy Birthday.'
Meanwhile, Reggie Williams was told to perform a dance on stage...
...while Jeremy Lin was instructed to do five pushups as part of his rookie training.
The fans were highly entertained throughout the Q&A session...
...and many were even more excited for the chance to get autographs from Curry...
...Udoh and more.
And in addition to mingling with the fans, the players also showed their appreciation to the chefs.
Overall, it can definitely be said that Nibbles, Dribbles and Sips was an event enjoyed by the fans...
...as well as the players.
Nibbles, Dribbles and Sips was just another way that the Warriors were able to express their sincere gratitude to the best fans in the NBA.
From the excellent food...
...to the high-quality selection of wine, the Warriors are thankful that the event was such a success.
Special thanks also go out to Taste Catering, Meals on Wheels and all of the restaurants and wineries who participated in this special and unique event.
Now, we look forward to seeing everyone on October 27 for Opening Night!
