The legendary outdoor basketball courts at Oaklands Mosswood Park recently underwent a major facelift.
The two refurbished courts were officially unveiled by the Warriors, Kaiser Permanente and the Good Tidings Foundation during a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the park on May 25.
Attended by Northern Lights School students, countless employees from Kaiser Permanente, and community residents
the ceremony was emceed by Warriors broadcaster Bob Fitzgerald.
Among the VIPs attending the event were Warriors forward David Lee

Some of the common themes throughout the presentation were the Warriors continuous dedication to the community and the importance of Kaiser Permanentes involvement in the project.
The newly refurbished basketball courts will benefit Bay Area residents of all ages for years to come.
With the assistance of Kaiser Permanente and the Good Tidings Foundation
the Warriors were able to transform the basketball courts at Mosswood Park into some of the nicest outdoor courts in the entire Bay Area.
This refurbishment project, which includes new playing surfaces, backboards and rims, marks the 41st and 42nd courts that the Warriors and Good Tidings Foundation have helped refurbish throughout the Bay Area in the past 15 years.
The outdoor basketball courts at Mosswood Park are legendary among basketball fans throughout the Bay Area, and across the country, as one of the nations true basketball hotbeds.
Several future NBA stars have honed their skills on the courts at Mosswood Park in high-level pick-up games against the Bay Areas best basketball players, and these new courts could help keep that tradition alive.
The grand occasion attracted a visit from streetball legend and Oakland native Hook Mitchell.
In addition to being on hand for the unveiling, the kids in attendance were also treated to a scoop of ice cream courtesy of Fentons Creamery.
The Warriors thank Kaiser Permanente for their involvement in making these dream courts a reality.
The Warriors also thank the Good Tidings Foundation for living up to its mission of supporting youth communities in the Greater Bay Area.
