During the Warriors-Hornets matchup on March 28, the Warriors, in partnership with Ross Stores, hosted Read To Achieve Night at Oracle Arena.
Clifford the Big Red Dog and the Warrior Girls tipped off the event by hosting a Reading Time Out for 30 children from the Lend A Hand Foundation.
Fans in attendance were able to donate new or lightly used childrens books on their way into the arena.
Throughout the night, the Warriors hosted special giveaways to promote the importance of education and reading.
Warriors players also participated in the Ross Stores Read to Achieve book exchange, personally delivering a book pack to 13 kids from the East Bay Childrens Agency.
During a break in the game, 24 fans received a Read to Achieve book and t-shirt pack courtesy of the Warriors and Ross Stores as a part of the Lucky Row.
At halftime there were even more giveaways, including t-shirts, Warriors mini-balls, books and book covers.
The night concluded with a special video that highlighted the numerous Read to Achieve events that the players participated in throughout the season and an on-court recognition featuring Warriors Legend and Community Ambassador Alvin Attles and Clifford.
The Warriors thank Ross Stores for their continued support of the Read To Achieve program.
