Warriors Waive Deji Akindele, Justin Davis and Ray Young

The Golden State Warriors have waived center Deji Akindele, forward Justin Davis and guard Ray Young, it was announced today by Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Chris Mullin.
 

Akindele appeared in two preseason games, averaging 2.0 points in 3.5 minutes. Davis appeared in five preseason contests, averaging 3.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 1.40 steals in 8.5 minutes per game. Young appeared in four games, averaging 4.0 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10.5 minutes.

The Warriors' much-anticipated 2005-06 season tips off when the team hosts the Atlanta Hawks at The Arena in Oakland on November 2. A limited number of single-game tickets are still available for purchase. The Warriors are also offering a Four-Game Mini-Plan that includes tickets to Opening Night.
