Warriors Sign Season Ticket Holder Fatih Erdin
Pleasanton Resident Returns For Fourth Season Under Risk-Free Renewal Agreement
The Golden State Warriors have signed season ticket holder Fatih Erdin for the 2011-12 season, co-owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber announced today. A member of the greatest fan base in all of professional sports, Erdin came to terms on a risk-free agreement that will ensure his place at Oracle Arena next season.
"This renewal plan is just one small example of our commitment to our shareholders,” said Lacob. “We owe it to our incredible fans, like Fatih, to raise our level of expectations for this organization and to perform at the highest level in all possible phases.”
A resident of Pleasanton, Fatih has been a Warriors season ticket holder since 2008 and considers Stephen Curry as his favorite Golden State player. Fatih attends nearly all of the Warriors home games each season and, based on his observations, believes the Warriors’ fan base is the best in the NBA.
“I think the fans are awesome. I’ve been to other NBA arenas around the country and the Warriors fans are clearly the best,” said Erdin.
A native of Istanbul, Turkey, Erdin lists the acquisition of Dorell Wright as a solid addition to the Warriors.
“Dorell has stepped his game up this season and has been great,” said Erdin. “I’m really excited to watch the team for another season.”
“We feel very fortunate to retain a fan like Fatih for the upcoming season,” said Guber. “Fatih is a valued member of our organization, and one of the key components to the unmatched atmosphere at Oracle Arena. Our goal is to honor and reward our fans’ loyalty in every way possible.”
As a renewed season ticket holder, Erdin was automatically entered for the chance to win prizes at a recent Warriors game, including the opportunity to shoot a half court shot for $10,000 cash. See a video recap of his experience below, including the prize package he chose.
