Warriors Sign Season Ticket Holder Clara Velasco
Oakland Resident Returns For Fourth Season Under Risk-Free Renewal Agreement

OAKLAND, CA – The Golden State Warriors have signed season ticket holder Clara Velasco for the 2011-12 season, co-owners Joe Lacob and Peter Guber announced today. A member of the greatest fan base in all of professional sports, Velasco came to terms on a risk-free agreement that will ensure her place at Oracle Arena next season.

“This renewal plan is just one small example of our commitment to our shareholders,” said Lacob. “We owe it to our incredible fans, like Clara, to raise our level of expectations for this organization and to perform at the highest level in all possible phases.”

A resident of Oakland, Velasco has been a Warriors season ticket holder since 2008 and remembers the overtime game vs. Orlando on March 11 – Golden State overcame a 10-point deficit and the teams hit a combined 36 three-pointers, which marked the most in NBA history - as her all-time favorite Warriors game. Velasco, based on her observations, feels Warriors’ games are action-packed. “I love all aspects of the game-night experience from the halftime acts to the contests going on throughout the night,” said Velasco. There’s not one part of the night that I don’t enjoy.” “I’m really excited to be back for another season as a season ticket holder,” said Velasco, who calls herself a newcomer to the game of basketball. “The 2010-11 Warriors are my favorite Warriors team.”

“We feel very fortunate to retain a fan like Clara for the upcoming season,” said Guber. “Clara is a valued member of our organization, and one of the key components to the unmatched atmosphere at Oracle Arena. Our goal is to honor and reward our fans’ loyalty in every way possible.”

As a renewed season ticket holder, Clara was automatically entered for the chance to win prizes at a recent Warriors game, including the opportunity to shoot a half court shot for $10,000 cash. See a video recap of Clara's experience below, including the prize package she chose.
