The Golden State Warriors, in conjunction with Esurance, took part in the inaugural NBA Green Week from April 2 – 10. During NBA Green Week, the entire NBA family teamed up with the National Resources Defense Council to generate awareness and funding to protect the environment through various community projects and in-arena activities.

The Warriors started their NBA Green Week efforts with Warriors Plant A Tree Day, presented by Esurance on Thursday, April 2. Warriors President Robert Rowell, players Kelenna Azubuike, C.J. Watson and Brandan Wright joined employees from the Warriors and Esurance, as well as volunteers from Urban Releaf, in planting trees at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Way and West MacArthur Boulevard in Oakland. The Warriors partnered with Esurance again for Go Green Night on Wednesday, April 8. Esurance was the presenting sponsor of Go Green Night as the Warriors hosted the Minnesota Timberwolves. As part of Go Green Night, the first 5,000 fans who entered the arena received an eco-friendly reusable grocery bag, courtesy of Esurance. Additionally, players from both teams wore 100 percent organic cotton adidas NBA Green Week shooting shirts during warm-ups.

The NBA is also hosting a special Autographed Spalding Recycled Basketball Auction, which includes an exclusive Warriors team ball. Click here to bid now!
